Our performance on the exam was an absolute success--60.8% (45/74) students earned a "qualifying score" (3+) on the AP Stat exam! I don't have my report with any national data yet, but I'm very confident that this will surpass the national % of qualifying scores for the second year in a row! Excellent work everyone--I'm incredibly proud of you! Hard work pays off! Here's a breakdown of the scores:
- 4 students earned a 5
- 14 students earned a 4
- 27 students earned a 3
- 19 students earned a 2
- 10 students earned a 1
- Average score = 2.770
We earned the second highest average score and second highest "% qualifying" in the history of EHHS AP Stat (since 2009--10 exams)! We achieved this while also having the largest number of students (74) to take the exam, which makes this even more impressive! Additionally, I thought this was a pretty difficult exam--it was much more conceptual and required even more critical thinking than many past exams.
(If you're curious the highest ever % qualifying in EHHS AP Stat was 63.6% and the highest average score was 2.982, so we weren't far off).
I'll add some more summary info when more data is released in the coming week(s)--for now I just have a list of all my students and their scores.
Overall I am definitely pleased with the results. If you didn't score as well as you would've liked, don't be too hard on yourself about it. Although it's hard, don't let one exam define your year. We had a blast (or, at least I did), learned stuff, and grew as people, and that's all more important than any exam score. If you don't get college credit for this class you still learned a ton, and you'll just have an easy A in college Stats--view that as a positive!

To next year's students--the bar has been set high! Our AP exam goals for next year:
- Beat the national % of qualifying scores (again)
- Earn >60% qualifying scores
- Fewer 1's (goal = no ones)
- More 4's and 5's
