Yo! This is the first official post devoted to all my new stat kids. I'm currently sitting in a classrom at Eastern CT State U. getting my statistics on. Literally as we speak I'm looking through each and every powerpoint and worksheet, trying to find any and every place I can improve, as well as getting some great ideas from stat teachers across the state.
As for your summer responsibilities, relax, recoup, and get ready for a tough but rewarding year. I'm already starting to feel excited for a new start and a new stat group; get your brains ready for a bunch of hard work. I think you'll really find it to be a rewarding class, not only in improving as a student, but simply in appreciating the craft of statistics.
Over the summer take some time to familiarize yourself with this blog. I plan on making this site a staple in our classroom throughout the year. Look at all of the resources you have at your disposal; take some time to look through some of the early chapter powerpoints and what we'll be starting with; and of course, take some time to really listen to the stat raps for a preview.
I hope all of you have had an enjoyable summer. At some point in August I'll be posting an extra credit opportunity--easy points, you just need to keep checking the blog to find out!
YOU WILL HAVE HOMEWORK ON THE FIRST DAY! Until then, enjoy all your days and nights. I will see you all soon.

Yo Mr. Carofano you are't gonna believe this but guess what I'm doing for my work study job next year... I'm a freakin' stats tutor! Crazy, right? I'm getting paid because I did well in your class. Just thought I'd say thanks :)
