You did it--we had the highest proportion of students with a 3, 4, or 5 in the history of EHHS AP Stat! 35/55 students earned a qualifying score (3 or above), or roughly 64%--the previous high was around 59%! We also had the highest average score of all time, with an average of 2.98! Whhhaatttt! And maybe most importantly, there there only 5 "ones" on the exam; to me this is the most important number of all, as it proves to me that we put forth our best effort! This is the lowest number of 1's by far!
Great work AP Stat class of 17! Incoming students--we've got some work to do! The bar has been set high but I have no doubt we can continue to improve on this success! Let's get to 70% of students earning a 3 or above and an average score over 3! The hard work starts this summer!
Incoming AP Stat Students: PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THE MANDATORY SUMMER ACADEMY ASAP! If you're reading this or have signed up please spread the word! Tell your friends to get on this--it's required to take our class!

I’m excited that you chose AP Stat! We'll be getting a head start on the school year with our mandatory AP Stat Summer Academy in August (8/21, 8/22, 8/24)
You must email me to sign up for a time-slot for each day of the AP Stat Summer Academy; please sign up by the end of July—but try to get this done sooner than later! Check your schedule to see which timeslot works best for you, and be sure to pay attention to any summer academy dates/times for your other AP courses! (You must attend all 3 of the days; choose a time for each day).
The schedule for the AP Stat Summer Academy is below—please choose a time (session) that you will attend each day and email me with your choice: carofano.fm@easthartford.org. If possible, please sign up for the same session each day.
Requests are first-come first-serve! Once a session is full I cannot accept any more students for that time; I will continually post updated rosters for each session as students email me, so always be sure to check back to the blog for more info!

At our summer classes we’ll start to learn AP Statistics! These are the first three days of our class--this extra time to start our preparation for the AP exam is huge! We will work with a different topic each day—we’ll explore the basics behind linear regression (lines of best fit), creating and describing graphical display of data (histograms, boxplots), and some other fundamental statistical skills. This content also appears on your summer assignment!
Don’t hesitate to email with any questions! I look forward to hearing from you about our AP Stat Summer Academy and to your future success!
