Treat this as a practice quiz! Do all the steps--hypotheses, conditions, math, conclusion!
Tomorrow in class we'll start with a 5 question MC pop quiz! 4 of the 5 MC deal with confidence intervals, so maybe do a little review and be ready!
Then (tomorrow in class) we'll look at a two tailed test--like #13 from last night's homework--with Mr. Mason, and then we'll add some more "new stuff" after our vocab quiz on Friday!
Juniors:
- Please be sure to have the "Wednesday Classwork" problems I gave you done for tomorrow! That's your first priority!
- We did the hypothesis test about mammograms and ONLY #9 on the error analysis
- Please also try to complete the "vouchers" problem above (tonight's homework)!
- If you need some more time you can show me the book problems from last night (13ab, 17, 23) by Monday for credit.
And finally, here's the vocab list for Friday if you'd like to get a head start studying!
- Critical Value (from ch. 19)
- Standard Error (from ch. 19)
- Margin of Error (from ch. 19)
- Confidence Interval (from ch. 19)
- Meaning of __% Confidence (from ch. 19)
- Null Hypothesis
- Alternative Hypothesis
- P-Value
- Hypothesis Test
- Alpha/Significance Level
- Fail to Reject Null (if pvalue is above alpha)
- Reject the Null (if pvalue is below alpha)
- Standardized Test Statistic
- Want some homework extra credit?
- By Monday complete #10 on the error analysis assignment we did in class today!
- Identify at least 6 errors in the solution:
- Circle and number each error in the solution
- Then, on the right (or on separate paper), describe each error in words OR correct the error--show what they should have done correctly!
