If you were absent today (or yesterday, or Friday) any/all outstanding quizzes/tests must be made up during lunch, study hall, or after school by 2:10 on Friday.
- If you do not make up these assignments by 2:10 on Friday you will be given a score of 0 (or a really low F).
- You can make up any tests/quizzes during any period Weds-Fri (even if I have class).
- OR I will be available after school tomorrow, as well as after school from 12:10 to 1:00 on Thursday.
- Be responsible and get this done! No excuses!
Tomorrow in class we'll get back to our discussion of chi-squared--be ready! If you were absent on Monday all of Monday's notes are posted below--get these into your notes and read over this stuff so you're ready for class tomorrow!
HW #1 = STUDY!
Tomorrow we will start class with a matching vocab quiz!
- 19 words, 20 definitions (one word has two definitions). STUDY! Ace this.
- Most of this vocab appeared on past quizzes (chapters 19-22), so use those to study!
- Much of this vocab will be used within Tuesday's test questions, so studying the vocab is also studying for Tuesday!
- Here's the vocab you may see Weds so you can get a head start studying:
- Confidence Interval
- Critical Value
- Meaning of confidence level
- Standard Error
- Margin of Error
- Hypothesis Test
- Null Hypothesis
- Alternative Hypothesis
- P-Value
- Standardized Test Statistic
- Alpha/Significance Level (2 definitions...)
- Beta
- Power
- Fail to Reject Ho
- Reject Ho
- One Tailed Test
- Two Tailed Test
- Type I Error
- Type 2 Error
HW #2: Take Home Test -- Read Below!
- Today in class you received (took) a second portion of today's test, labeled as a take home portion.
- This is an optional assignment. If you choose to complete this and turn it in you must have this in by Friday.
- If you choose to turn this in it will be graded and scored as a test!
- If you do not you will simply be exempted from the assignment and the score will not count for/against you.
- Why would I want to turn this in?
- For this take home portion you will have your notes and other resources available--if you feel like you can earn an A (or even a 100%) on this then it's a good a idea to get this in, as an A on a test will help to boost your average!
- If you did not do as well as you'd like on the take home test, or feel like you struggled today, then it's a good idea to get this in!
- (You will not get your in-class test back until next Monday or Tuesday, so you'll have to make this decision based on your level of confidence about today's test)
