Tomorrow we'll start with 35-40 minutes of learning about means of combined samples and a little probability; then we'll have some time to work on our summer assignment in class.
Remember, if you complete and turn in your summer assignment tomorrow you will earn extra credit!
Do it tonight! Try everything, then use some free time in class tomorrow (goal = 30 minutes of time to work) to finish up any "loose ends" and get this turned in!
These questions are based on Tuesday's class:
- #13 (Creating a Histogram)
- #18 (Create a bar graph)
- #31 (Find median given a histogram)
And these are based on Wednesday's class:
- #3 (describe correlation)
- #6, 7 (define variables)
- #9 (write the equation of the line of best fit, find r, R^2)
- #13 (create histogram using calculator)
- #14-16 (finding summary statistics)
- Range = Max - Min
- #17 (create a boxplot)
- #26, 27 (define variables)
- You can skip #12. We did not have time to cover this, so it will not be scored as part of the assignment.
You should be able to complete the following questions on your own--these are not necessarily based on things we'll learn this week (do these tonight too!):
- #1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 23, 24, 25, 28, 29
- **We can discuss number 8 in class tomorrow
And here's what we'll address Thursday:
- #19-22 (probability)
- #30 (find mean for combined samples)
