Tuesday HW!

Tonight = one more homework on experimental design....and I may collect it and grade it as a quiz, or I may not. We'll find out tomorrow.

Tonight please complete the "Experiments Wrap Up" questions/worksheet provided in class (or below).

  • Be sure to write your answers thoroughly, and in context! Try to use exact wording from the question/context if possible!
  • Your explanations for #1 and 2e should be written in complete sentences! Be detailed/specific to the given context!
  • Want some extra credit?
    • On separate paper explain how women would be randomly assigned to either receive ultrasounds throughout their pregnancy or not receive ultrasounds. Suppose you have 100 female volunteers for your experiment.

Today's Class Recap: (slightly varies by period)
  • Looked over homework key (for last night's hw) and discussed any questions
  • Chapter 13 vocab quiz
  • Back to probability....chapter 17 = binomial and geometric probability
  • Worked on the questions below and began to discuss what binomial and geometric probability are

Suggested Midterm Review HW:
  • Complete 20 (Form B) #2 and/or the 2009 Free Response #3 provided in class (or linked below)
  • One of these questions was taken from a past midterm!
  • (ALWAYS) Score your response--this will allow you to check your understanding, and it will also give you some insight into how I will be grading your midterms!
