1.) Homework tonight: Please complete the "Chapter 14: Probability MC!" provided in class (or below).
- This provides us with some more practice with probability and with some more "AP-like" contexts before our quiz Friday!
- #5 is a repeat from our take home quiz....
- I did this on purpose! This is a particularly "AP like" question!
- The answer is E! But the focus here is not on the final answer, it's how to get it....
- Think about this: if the mixture tests positive, that means the mixture "did not test negative..."
- Therefore, finding the P(test positive) is the same as finding P(does not test negative)
- Now, think about this--how can we find the probability the whole mixture tests negative?
- What's the only way the entire mixture tests negative?
2.) Please add me as a coach on Khan Academy if you have not done so yet.
- Log into your Khan Academy account (or create an account if you do not have one)
- Go to the "Coaches" tab
- Enter our class code:
- AP Stat Class Code = 5HS925
3.) Chapter 14 Quiz Friday!
- Math Section: 8 problems that are very similar to those on your take home quiz! Use that to study!
- Vocab Section: here's the vocab list for Friday's quiz...
- Probability
- Independent (Events)
- Disjoint/Mutually Exclusive (Events)
- Law of Large Numbers
- Law of Averages

And finally, don't forget to support the yearbook and buy some new EHHS gear! You have until 12/1!
