Labor Day Weekend! (homework)

It's a 3 day weekend! Enjoy it...rest up, relax, have fun with friends and family, and do your Stats homework! (Do all of your other homework too!)

Next weekend we'll really start to get into the weekly routine and finish up with all of this "beginning of the year stuff." We'll get our textbooks and our Barron's review guides and quickly move through chapter 3 so we can get to some actual math.

On Tuesday you will have a chapter 2 quiz as soon as you enter. Be ready!
  • Your quiz provides one scenario and asks the same types of questions as your homework (from Thursday night). Use the key I provided in class to study!
  • Even if you were out on Friday (and don't have the key) you have to take the quiz! So talk to a classmate for help!
  • The quiz does ask you to identify the sample and sample size for the context. Remember, the sample is WHO we get our data from. On the key I provided I identified the samples by the question number on the left. Use this to study!
For homework this weekend, please complete each of the circled items on the photocopied textbook page I provided in class. Be sure to be detailed, and for questions 19, 22, and 23 remember to show your work. Don't lose it or you won't be able to do your homework!

Also, study for your quiz!

As always, email with any questions!

First Homework Assignment!

Tonight is our first (of many) AP Stat assignments! You will have homework about 99.9% of class days (until we finish the exam on May 13th). I won't always check, but I definitely will tomorrow, as this is our first homework.

Please complete the "Analyzing Context" worksheet provided in class. If you lost yours you can find it under the classroom resources.

On Tuesday we will have our first quiz--which will be just like this homework, so do your best! We'll talk about it tomorrow!

Welcome Back!

First day of AP Stats! Wooooooo!

I'm super pumped to get the year started! Tomorrow we'll get into our chapter 2 notes (for real), and then we'll get our first homework assignment!

Tonight, you must complete the summer assignment if you did not turn it in today. You can find the assignment under the classroom resources link to the right. If you do not turn it in you will have a 0 for your first test. Start off on the right foot!

For the rest of us, rest up and get ready for a year of hard work!

If you're one of last year's students and you happen to be reading this....great job on the exam! Email me sometime soon, I'd love to hear from you! And best of luck to you in college!
