Here's some more help/clarification for tonight's homework...
- Population: what's the whole group you're trying to generalize to?
- Population Parameter of Interest: what number are you trying to estimate? A mean? A percentage? The average what? The percent of what?
- The sampling frame: who are all the possible people we could've sampled?
- The sample: who actually was surveyed?
- The sampling method: how did they collect their sample? Was randomization used?
- Sources of bias: what might be some potential problems with this sample or with the way we collected this sample?
