February Break = Experiments and Observational Studies (Chapter 13)

It's break already! Of course we all enjoy time off, but I'm looking forward to some normalcy in our schedule after break. We need some 5 day weeks to get our routine back and get back into the school groove so that we can be prepared for this AP exam!

Over break, please complete the reading questions and multiple choice provided in class--remember, your job is to TEACH YOURSELF chapter 13! And everything is collected/graded!

  • This is a 40 point classwork grade: 20 for the reading questions and 20 for the multiple choice! Make sure you have it!
    • There is no reason not to get a 100% on the reading questions!
    • Remember, the reading questions are given in the same order the answers appear in the book!
  • You can find the reading questions and the multiple choice under our classroom resources (in case you lost yours or you want to type your answers)
  • Email me with questions! (carofano.fm@easthartford.org)

A few other dates/tasks to keep in order:
  • We will have a chapter 13 vocab quiz on Friday, February 20th
    • The bolded words in your reading questions = vocab list
    • OR, use the glossary at the back of chapter 13
  • You have up to "after school" on Friday, February 20th to re-take your "sample, population, sampling frame, etc." chapter 12 quiz
  • We will have a UNIT TEST (chapters 11, 12, 13) on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 24
  • We will have a UNIT VOCAB MATCHING TEST (chapters 11, 12, 13) on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 25
Enjoy your break! I know we have a lot of work to do, but that's what comes with all of these snow days. When we return from break we'll have about 5 more classes on data collection; then, it's back to math (lots of z-scores)! See you soon!
