Weekend HW/Vocab Quiz Monday!

Weekend homework:

1.) Please complete the (1) hypothesis test provided in class (or below) on Thursday.

2.) STUDY YOUR VOCAB! We will start class on Monday with our chapter 20 vocab quiz! The overall average on our last (ch. 19) vocab quiz was a 77%; to be blunt, that is totally unacceptable. These vocabulary quizzes should be an easy A--if you put in the work. This all comes down to taking the time to prepare! Make some flash cards and ace this thing tomorrow!
  • Critical Value (from ch. 19)
  • Standard Error (from ch. 19)
  • Margin of Error (from ch. 19)
  • Confidence Interval (from ch. 19)
  • Meaning of __% Confidence (from ch. 19)
  • Null Hypothesis
  • Alternative Hypothesis
  • P-Value
  • Hypothesis Test
  • Alpha/Significance Level
  • Fail to Reject Null (if pvalue is above alpha)
  • Reject the Null (if pvalue is below alpha)
  • Standardized Test Statistic

3.) Extra Credit Opportunity: Due Monday!
  • Want some homework extra credit?
  • By Monday complete #10 on the error analysis assignment we did in class today!
  • Identify at least 6 errors in the solution:
    • Circle and number each error in the solution
    • Then, on the right (or on separate paper), describe each error in words OR correct the error--show what they should have done correctly!

After our vocab quiz on Monday we'll start to learn about types of error--want a head start? Read about Type I and Type II errors in chapter 21 of your textbook! We'll cover this Monday, do more of it Tuesday, and then wrap up chapter 21 on Wednesday; we'll have a test next Thursday! Be ready!
