Summer Academy Next Week! (blog updated 8/15)

If you have not done so, please be sure to sign up for the MANDATORY AP Summer Academy--it's less than one week away!

You can either send me an email (carofano.fm@easthartford.org) or a Remind message and let me know what time you'd prefer.

Summer Classes: 8/21, 8/22, and 8/23
  • Choose one time for each day:  10:20-11:35 or 11:40-12:55
    • Did I mention these are mandatory?
    • Sorry, 9:00-10:15 is full
Feel free to contact me with any questions!

Here are the updated rosters for our MANDATORY summer academy in August (updated 8/15):
  • Please (do me a favor)--spread the word to any friends you have who are taking AP Stat! We all need to be here to get started on our quest to top those impressive scores above!
  • Be sure to double check these, even if you signed up--let me know if I made any errors (wrong time or spelled your name wrong or anything else)
August 21, 22, and 23 Rosters:

Lastly, here's all the info about our course from the front page of our summer assignment:
  • We have 3 MANDATORY summer sessions in August AND you also must complete this summer assignment!
    • You will have the opportunity to work assignment at our summer academy in August—bring it with you! This summer assignment reviews some of the fundamental skills/concepts I would like you to know/understand prior to taking this course; it also assesses some of the new content that we will learn at our mandatory summer classes
  • To take AP Statistics it is required that you complete this assignment and attend our summer academy—meeting these requirements demonstrates that you are prepared for the workload and responsibility that comes with an AP course.
  • Summer Assignment Due Date: on/before the first day of school
    •  This will serve as your first test grade for the course.
  • A graphing calculator is required to complete this assignment and for this course.
    • I recommend a TI-84, as this will be used in our instruction; students have, however, been successful using other calculator models (Casio, TI-89, TINspire, TI-83), but you will have to learn how to use these on your own.
  • Be sure to regularly check the EHHS AP Stat blog over the summer—here you will find helpful hints, links with resources you can use for its completion, class updates/news, and even potential credit opportunities! This is the  #1 resource for our course!
  • You also must sign up for Remind for this course!
    • Download the (free) Remind app and enter our class code: @ehhsapstat
    • OR, text @ehhsapstat to 81010
