Chapter 6!

Today we started my personal favorite of the unit, chapter 6! Woo! Lots of numbers and math!

Tomorrow (half-day) we'll continue with our notes.

The goal is to have a unit vocab test on Thursday, 10/2 and a unit test on Friday, 10/3!

Here's tonight's homework:

Page 123: 1,3,5,7,9,11

**For questions 5,7,9, to determine which is "more unusual" or which "overall performance was better," you need to find the distance from the mean, in standard deviations. To do this, take each data value, subtract the mean, and then divide by the standard deviation. Whichever number is further from 0 (or further from the mean) is "more unusual."
**Read the example at the very top ("Bacher's winning 800-m time....") of page 103 for more help.

Period B: If you did not turn in the 5 matching histograms/boxplots, I need it tomorrow! It's a classwork grade!
