**AP FORMS AND FEES ARE DUE WEDNESDAY! GET THOSE IN!**

Monday/Tuesday HW:

Please complete the following in your textbook--this assignment will be checked on Wednesday and will be counted double!

Page 470-471: 9, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23

  • For #9 your challenge is to find (and correct) as many errors in the work shown as possible! Try to find at least...
    • 2 errors in hypotheses
    • 2 errors in conditions... (one is missing entirely...)
    • 2 errors in the math work for SD and z score....
    • Re-write the conclusion (and why is theirs incorrect?)
  • For #15 we're back to using a confidence interval to test a hypothesis!
    • When doing part b you should write the hypothesis, skip the conditions (they were checked for the interval in a), then use your interval to decide if you "reject the null hypothesis" or "fail to reject the null hypothesis" and explain why
  • For #17 we CANNOT do a one prop z test...your task is to explain why
  • For 19, 21, 23...
    • For each of these we need to conduct a full hypothesis test!
    • Hypotheses, Conditions, Math, Conclusion
    • **This is direct practice for our quiz later this week--we'll have an open ended problem just like this!
    • Use a significance level of 0.05 for each (#19, 21, 23)
      • Our textbook does not introduce alpha levels until the next chapter, that's why none are provided here
Tomorrow in class we'll wrap up our chapter 20 notes with some discussion of "one vs. two tailed tests" and more practice with conclusions....see you there!
