Thursday HW

If you were absent today (or yesterday, or Monday, or Friday) any/all outstanding quizzes/tests must be made up by 2:10 tomorrow! Email me or come by to talk about makeup times tomorrow if you have an extenuating circumstance (but it's gotta be legit...)

Tomorrow in class we'll finish up chapter 26 as we learn about the expected counts and then work through a chi-squared test for goodness of fit!

HW #1: Tonight please COMPLETE AND SCORE the 2009 (Form B) free response provided in class (or below).

  • You know the deal--complete the question, SCORE IT and TAKE NOTES on your scoring.
  • Here is the link to the 2009 Form B rubric (scroll down to #3):
  • And here's the question in case you need it (this is also on our 12 point classwork that got passed back yesterday):

HW #2: Take Home Test -- Read Below!

  • Tuesday in class you received (took) a second portion of today's test, labeled as a take home portion.
  • This is an optional assignment. If you choose to complete this and turn it in you must have this in by Friday. You can have until Monday to get this in if you like.
    • If you choose to turn this in it will be graded and scored as a test!
    • If you do not you will simply be exempted from the assignment and the score will not count for/against you.
    • Why would I want to turn this in?
      • For this take home portion you will have your notes and other resources available--if you feel like you can earn an A (or even a 100%) on this then it's a good a idea to get this in, as an A on a test will help to boost your average!
      • If you did not do as well as you'd like on the take home test, or feel like you struggled today, then it's a good idea to get this in!
        • (You will not get your in-class test back until next Monday or Tuesday, so you'll have to make this decision based on your level of confidence about today's test)

And here's the plan leading up to the AP exam!
